What We Do

We are a philanthropic not-for-profit organization engaged in identifying learners doing Grade 10- 12 with a particular bias towards Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Life Sciences, and Accounting.

These learners are then invited from surrounding nearby schools to attend extra tuition support classes in these subjects at our tuition centre starting Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and Sundays as well as school holidays. Highly qualified, reliable, and experienced educators are called in to provide valuable lessons and revision classes to the learners.

Our focus on Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Accounting extra tuition was motivated by the fact that the Department of Education has identified these subjects as the most failed yet very critical for National Development. Learners who pass in these subject areas are guaranteed to enrol for valuable degrees in critical areas of expertise thereby capacitating the nation with narrowing the skills gap and moving towards skills self-sufficiency.

WHY PRIORITISE EDUCATION?

Education is a powerful tool and as an organization, we believe in the saying that states: EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS AND KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

AND TO QUOTE AND UNQUOTE THE WORDS OF NELSON ROLIHLAHLA MANDELA,

Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world. – Nelson Mandela

We believe that education equals benefits. Education not only allows individuals to acquire skills for lifelong employment which helps to improve the living standards of hard-working and successful beneficiaries of education intervention programs. Besides unlocking endless opportunities in life, education also helps to mold self-respecting, polished individuals who may act as role models, peace-loving, and active citizens who shun violence in their communities. Apart from raising income levels, education has the power to lift disadvantaged learners from poverty because businessmen and women are also attracted to become part and parcel of the development agenda in the communities. Also, innovative education helps the country to be on the cutting edge of regional global influence which in turn benefits our citizens continentally.

INTERVENTION STRATEGY

We continue to run weekday study sessions/groups for our students. Our Academic Director comes in on the first four days of the school week and teaches various subjects. He/she works ahead of the school schedule so that our students in the organization understand that section in that subject before it is covered at his/her school. Our students also sacrifice their time and stay behind at school for extra classes after normal school hours. When they return from their schools, they meet up to resume study sessions set up by the organization. This ensures maximum information intake and maximizes the pass rate. At the end of the month, our Academic Director sets a paper for our students to do a performance appraisal and to monitor progress and capabilities. Where a need arises, extended sessions or one-on-one capacitation is undertaken to ensure no one gets left behind.
